World’s Tallest Horse

The Shire stallion, Luscombe Nodram, also known as Noddy is unofficially the world’s tallest horse. He stands 20.1 hands (2.057 meters) tall. Noddy weighs 1.5 tonnes, which is 3 times the average thoroughbred racehorse. He is owned by Jane Greenman from Pakenham, Australia. There are only about 2000 Shire horses left in the world, and Noddy is one of them. The average height of a Shire horse is around 18 to 19 hands, and it was realized that Noddy was past his normal mature height and was still growing.

World’s Smallest Horse

An art therapy Shetland Pony named Pumuckel is the officially the world’s smallest pony owned by Carola Weidemann. At 20 inches (50.8cm) tall, Pumuckel is two inches shorter than the current record holder, a mini Appaloosa horse named Bombel. He weighs only 35 kilograms, which is about the weight of a twin bed.
